Zionist? Sure, I’ll Go With That

And—what?  The Israelis should be perfect or something?  Not normal human beings doing what human beings do?

Bad stuff—I don’t like it anywhere.  Lies?  In my view everyone should stop lying about everything everywhere.  You want to bet on the chances?

Maybe if all those superior civilizations hadn’t kept dragging us off in chains from time to time we wouldn’t have had to get back by any means necessary.

To be sure, I use the we because obviously everyone has an ethnicity and an origin point and me—American through and through but nevertheless I come from an actual line of people who ain’t, say, Scots-Irish stock.  And sadly, if Jew-hatred ever comes to get me I’ll be surviving or dying here.  I got no taste to become Israeli.

But truly, everyone trying to make Zionist a filthy term of imprecation—I couldn’t care less.  I don’t need a mouthful of explanatory or placatory words to justify the basic reality.
